Institutional Approach

The Geneva-Tsinghua Initiative (GTI) is a partnership between the University of Geneva and Tsinghua University, and was one of the first educational programs launched to directly address the SDGs. The GTI develops education programs to address the SDGs via problem-based learning, within the ‘SDG Solution Space’ located at the University of Geneva; the SDG FabLab, which allows quick production and prototyping of innovations; and the SDG Accelerator, providing further support to GTI students to scale-up their ideas. The educational programs include a 2-week innovation exchange, an SDG Innovation Bootcamp, a 2.5 year dual degree Master program in Innovation, Human Development and Sustainability, and a Master in Public Policy for Sustainable Development Goals.
