Institutional Approach

Western Sydney University (WSU) structures its 'CORE' (curriculum, operations, research and engagement) around acheiving the SDGs. They have structured and innovative learning around the SDGs via the 'Learning Futures' and 21C initiatives, intended to transform curriculum and teaching. Central to this are student-centered transdisciplinary education and the principle of providing all graduates with sustainability attributes - the ability to Think, Care, and Do. WSU also served as the global hub for SDG 10, Reduced Inequalities, with an extensive list of initiatives led by the university to reduce inequalities.
